Dropkick Murphys at ŠalataOn June 16th, Zagreb’s Šalata will be the venue for a concert by the American/Irish/Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys, which already performed in Zagreb two years ago, filling the Culture Factory club to capacity. This time around, they will hold an open air show.
The T-HTnagrada@msu.hr exhibitionFor seven years now, the Museum of Contemporary Art and T-HT Croatian Telecom have organized annual exhibitions featuring recent works of contemporary visual art. A total of 203 works were submitted for this year’s exhibition, but only 16 of the best have been selected.
Everlast coming to ZagrebOn May 12th, Zagreb’s Tvornica Kulture club will be the venue for a concert by Everlast, the legendary frontman of the former Irish/American hip-hop band House of Pain. This much anticipated gig comes two years after he was supposed to perform at the cancelled Rokaj Fest.
Neutral Milk Hotel at Tvornica KultureOne of the most influential American indie bands, Neutral Milk Hotel, will hold its only regional concert at Zagreb’s Tvornica Kulture on June 2nd 2014 as part of their tour which began earlier this year.
St. George in ZagrebShould you find yourself in Zagreb on April 23rd, St. George’s Day, it will be a perfect opportunity to join a free tour of the city, dedicated to this very date and the saint who is the subject of several statues and customs in the Croatian capital and its surroundings.
I like Lisinski very much. It was very intense to perform there, because people came, listened carefully and felt the music in their hearts. Lisinski is a beautiful concert hall, and I am very honored to be performing there. I have wonderful memories of my first performance in Lisinski.
Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.
