CHANGING OF THE GUARD – GUARD OF HONOUR OF THE CRAVAT REGIMENT
In the 17th century, during the Thirty Years’ War, the Croatian Light Cavalry, renowned for its exceptional heroism, joined the ranks of the French Army. The military skill and original appearance of the Croatian soldiers was affi rmed in 1664 with the founding of the Croatian regiment the Royal Cravates within the French Army.

THE FIRST PRIZE TO THE PROMOTIONAL FILM „ADVENT IN ZAGREB“
Zagreb, June 1, 2010 – The promotional film of the Zagreb Tourist Board "Advent in Zagreb" was awarded the first prize in the category of tourist spot, at the just completed 46th International tourism film festival in the Italian city of Lecce, in Puglia province. 60 countries competed, with 300 films from all continents, in 10 categories. Croatia participated with 14 films in all categories and Zagreb was the only one that won the prize.

Between the 13th and the 15th of May, Zagreb was host to the annual gathering of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), during which more than two thousand participants from all over the world discussed current financial and economic topics.
