To make the information about Zagreb, even more accessible to many visitors of the Croatian capital, the Zagreb Tourist Board has officially opened the new Tourist Information Center (TIC) in the building of the main Zagreb Bus Station.
Along with the TIC at Ban Jelačić Square, then the TIC at the airport in Zagreb and the main railway station, this is the fourth facility of its kind, by which are covered all the town entrances and the most frequent points of our city. At 70m2, the visitors will get all the necessary information and for quality and professional service are responsible specially trained information officers. It should be noted, that this Tourist Information Centre is one of the first centers in Croatia that will have some promotional materials from the Croatian National Tourist Board. The TIC will not work only for four days in a year (Christmas, New Year, Easter and the Day of the Dead) and its regular working hours will be from Monday to Friday from 08:30 am to 08:30 pm and on weekends and public holidays from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm. The Zagreb Tourist Board is planning to open a seasonal Center "Zagreb Doors" at the Motel Plitvice.
As a reminder, the tourist arrivals and overnight stays are increased in Zagreb on a monthly basis. Thus, from January to November 2011, Zagreb was visited by 626,760 visitors, who have made 1,074,317 overnight stays, which compared to the same period last year represents 10% more tourist arrivals and 9% more overnight stays.
Tourist Information Centre was officially opened by the President of the Zagreb Tourist Board and the Mayor, Mr. Milan Bandić, director of the Zagreb Tourist Board, Ms Amelia Tomašević and Mr. Krešimir Rašan, director of the Service for visitors, who are all of them expressed their satisfaction for the completed work.
